On 19th June 2011 Andy Ridout made the decision to found Advance, this transpired to be the most significant move of his 20 year long career. A decision that would not only impact on his own profession but assist the rail industry with a £44billion growth project, creating more than 700 jobs during a period of mass unemployment.
From an idea formed in a café one lunch time to a vision developed at a kitchen table, Advance has grown from strength to strength. Having reached a £12.5m turnover in 4.5years and added the Water, Telecommunications and Energy sectors to it’s’ list of specialisms, Advance is now widely recognised as one of the UK’s fastest growing recruitment company’s. With 26 employees, huge offices and buzzing sales floors, Advance is a far cry from the small start up with the big dream.

|September 2014||Advance becomes a member of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo).|
|March 2015||Managing Director Andy Ridout climbs Everest in aid of Railway Children, raising almost £10,000|
|March 2015||Advance reaches £7.2m turnover.|
|June 2015||Advance becomes ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 accredited.|
|September 2015||Advance is inducted into the Recruitment International Top 500, detailing the highest grossing recruitment companies in the UK.|
|November 2015||Advance nominated for the Recruitment Excellence award at 2016 UK Rail Industry Awards|
|Jan 2016||Advance reaches £12.5 turnover.|
|January 2016||Advance launches new, state of the art website.|
