Project Manager – Power
Our client, a successful national utilities contractor, seek a Project Manager to join their Framework team supporting a major electricity utility company.
Initially you will work within the client offices in south London taking an active part in developing projects at FEED stage, taking client concepts through to the detailed design phase for adoption by the regional teams for design and build phases.
Once the current high volume of development work has been progressed, the role will become operational, taking responsibility for the delivering of schemes from design into construction reporting to an assigned Contract Manager.
·Applicants will need to bring previous experience of delivering power transmission and distribution projects.
·Ideally display success in delivering projects to refurbish or upgrade substations, cables and power lines in the UK.
·Must have strong client management experience and be comfortable and familiar with working in an integrated office. The post-holder must confidently interface with the client, influence them and provide justification during the creation of execution plans and budgets.
·Must be comfortable with the preparation of project documents and their justification to enable projects to move to sanction.
c. £50,000 —55,000 pa plus car and benefits package including bonus and private health
Applicants will need to bring a flexible approach to travel. Following the completion of the FEED work, the Project Manager will be assigned to a project or projects. The client region is large running from North London to The Wash and the east coast to Aylesbury with jointly staffed offices in Stevenage, Colchester and Bury St Edmunds.
