Project Risk and Value Manager

Overview
To join the Project and Programme Management team within an internationally successful and prestigious consultancy based in London. As Project Risk and Value Manager, you will assist in servicing existing company contracts while helping to grow the business and develop the service offering to include value management.
Accountable for:
·Providing Risk Management advice to clients and colleagues in multiple market sectors (in particular rail, highways, energy, aviation) at different project lifecycle stages, including:
oFacilitating risk workshops and applying other risk identification techniques;
oAssessing risk (e.g. CAPEX, OPEX, schedule, revenue and reputation) qualitatively and semi-quantitatively;
oQuantifying CAPEX & schedule risk exposure (Monte Carlo simulation);
oReporting and advising on risk exposure and risk response plans to senior project staff.
·Assisting with the maintenance, management and improvement of our client’s risk management framework for safeguarding against risks to which the Firm is exposed.
·To manage commissions with minimal supervision from the skills leader including supervision of team members to assure outputs.
·To identify and take active involvement in marketing and sales opportunities to maximise opportunity with existing clients and build opportunity with new clients.
·Work in varied technical fields and industry sectors.
·Develop and apply best-practice in target markets.

Experience/Qualifications
·A thorough and demonstrable expertise in Risk and Value Management.
·Demonstrable flexibility having delivered successfully in multiple infrastructure Projects/Programmes – a priority being rail, highways, energy or aviation.
·Highly self-motivated, proactive and collaborative.
·An excellent networker and relationship builder developing trust and rapport.
·A talented communicator (verbal, written and listening), able to recognise and interpret client needs and develop plans to achieve them.

·Degree in relevant discipline, ideally either management or technical
·Obtained or working towards a Professional qualification in Project and Programme management qualifications, such as IRM, MAPM, or equivalent.
